The Father’s Love

I got up this morning and went to my computer with my coffee, which is pretty much my normal routine.  I do my quiet time, bible study and catch up on my friends and family.  Of course this morning was covered with my friend’s pictures from the snow in Georgia and reports of people stranded all over, many having been there from the day before.  A story caught my eye of a father that walked 6 miles in the snow to be with his young daughter that was going to have to spend the night at her school, because the roads were too bad to get home.  The picture of the father’s love just overwhelmed me and I immediately thought of how blessed we are to have a loving Heavenly Father.  1John 3:1a says “See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!”   He is there, our loving Father desiring to have time with us, desiring to bless us, desiring to see us succeed.  He is the one there cheering us on as we run our race.  He is the one that is watching over us.  He is there waiting for us.  Romans 8:15 says “So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”   I just love that!!  Abba, Father.  Daddy.   As I picture many little kids today in Georgia, climbing up in their daddy’s laps, staying warm and finding safety in the storm, I see my Daddy God calling me to run to Him, climb up in His lap and spend time with Him.  What is it you are facing today?  What is causing stress in your life?  Whatever it is, know that your Daddy God is there waiting for you to run up to Him, tell Him what is going on and allow Him to comfort your heart.  Oh how He loves us!
